Emergency Volunteer Air Corps

The EVAC program originated at Santa Monica Airport in Santa Monica, California, in 1987. These volunteers plan to help keep the airport open during emergency situations, assess damage and report findings to local emergency services officials, and work with other EVAC and public benefit flying groups to bring in emergency personnel from other airports.
